Two professional portrait artists describe and demonstrate the history and techniques of their different traditions of art as they paint from a live model. Olena Vavourakis, a graduate of Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts, brings you the impressionistic traditions unique to her homeland of Ukraine. Nicole Warner, a graduate University of Delaware’s Department of Fine Arts (USA), brings you the traditions of the old dutch masters. Socializing and questions will be welcomed during occasional breaks for the models. Join us to observe two unique perspectives and painting processes bring a portrait to life.
