Nicole Warner, an American artist in Switzerland, received her BFA in painting at the University of Delaware, where she had the opportunity to reproduce master portraits through the the University's acclaimed conservation program. This experience paved the way for her continued development with these techniques that inspire Nicole's body of work. She applies her process starting with her materials, such as the wood panels she builds and prepares. She then paints her subjects with sensitivity and luminosity through the complex layering of paint.
In Nicole's work she explores our connection to our natural world as a way to communicate the complexities of the human soul, including the beauty and strength in vulnerability. Nicole lives in the canton of Zürich with her small and energetic family composed her husband, two kids and a dog. Nicole specializes in portraits by commission. Languages: English and German. |
